I have finally found the perfect time, day, and conditions
to go to a zoo!! Or at least the
National Zoo in Washington, D.C. Fall,
just when it’s starting to get really cool (temperature-wise of course, D.C. is
always cool), on a Thursday (or other mid-weekday), mid-day into
mid-evening. It was WONDERFUL. It’s also cool to be there during the
afternoon/evening transition because it means you’re there for feeding time,
when all the animals are awake and apparently very vocal. I got to witness the most awesome male lion
roars I’ve ever heard. I just kept
saying to my friend, “Wow, this is King of the Jungle s***”. J
So here’s my photo recap of my most recent visit to the
